Dedication to Johann Strauss Jr.

One of the first pieces I’ve written back in 2011 as impression after watching “Farewell to St.Petersburg” a Russian movie about Strauss’s summer season in Pavlovsk, Russia in 1857. A meditative piece imaging quiet summer night in Pavlovsk garden.

Interesting thing. I’ve played it on my old Leningrad piano in C originally. But piano was tuned half step lower due to issues with the board. So in reality it was in B. And that’s how I hear it and play it now.

You can see St.Peter’s church in Ealing and surroundings in the video.
